We are very proud to announce that we are an accredited Communication Friendly Setting Status.
Mrs Jenkins and the whole team have trained together to achieve this accreditation – this was in working partnership with the DfE and ELKAN to raise awareness of the importance of early language and communication development.
Staff ensure that our children have high quality interactions and are skilled at supporting young children to develop their communication and language skills.
Mrs Jenkins is a DfE trained Early Years Champion – the only one in Bishop Auckland – and has supported other County Durham schools and settings on their journey to become Communication Friendly Settings.
