My name is Celia Dixon and I have lived in Woodland for four years. I am actively involved in the wider community being secretary of Barnard Castle WI, Chair of Governors at a local Primary School and well as being a co-opted Governor (Vice-Chair) at Aclet Close Nursery School for the past two years.
After retiring from Secondary teaching, I felt that I wanted to still keep an involvement with young people. I am passionate about building community and seeing young people and children discover their full potential as well as helping them become active and positive contributors to society.
I believe with staff, parent and community support, Aclet Close Nursery School can continue to be an ‘outstanding’ school, where pupils eagerly learn, develop and leave with fun memories. I want to help achieve this.
